My time is split between consulting roles in Sports Physiotherapy / Science overseas and locally as a Sports Physiotherapist. Alongside this I work on a number of projects including being part of WHISPA (Healthy Women In Sport), which is a High Performance initiative ensuring that we make the most of up to date research, knowledge base and systems implementation for our female athletes to ensure not only success on the world stage but also healthy life beyond their competing years.
I also present at a variety of conferences and workshops throughout the year particularly in the greater Bay of Plenty for Sports BOP. It is a privilege to share the knowledge I have gained from working in International sport for over 10 years to the community level of sport.
After 10 years of working with local an representative rugby I spent 9 years working in NZ Womens Rugby with both the Blackferns and Blackferns 7s including being part of two World Cup winning teams and culminating with being part of the team who won silver at the Rio Olympics.
I have a variety of other International sports experiences including working with National teams in Althletics, Waterpolo, Youth Olympics and the World University Games. I am looking forward to my ongoing High Performance Sport NZ campaign work with the Tokyo Olympics 2020 next up!
